The Story of Three Generations of Women with Strong Energy – Pebbles Beneath a Big Rock

A Korean Saju (Four Pillars) Reading

During consultations, there are people whose powerful energy is felt the moment they walk in—not through their words or actions, but simply through their aura.

Not long ago, three such individuals visited me together: a daughter in her mid-20s, her mother, and her maternal grandmother. Three generations standing together, possessing an undeniably extraordinary presence.

The Daughter's Saju — Imja (壬子) Day Pillar

In Saju, the Day Pillar (Ilju) represents the energy of the day you were born, revealing your essential personality and core energy.

The Imja Day Pillar is known as one of the strongest among the 60 cosmological energies. It resembles water rising upon water—an overlap of the same element that creates an immense, overflowing force.

The daughter was currently entering her Jeonggwan (正官) Grand Cycle. A Daeun (Grand Cycle) refers to the major shifts in life that unfold in 10-year intervals, and Jeonggwan signifies a righteous connection—the energy of an upright partner. Simply put, it is a season for a good relationship to enter her life.

However, there was one variable.

In her Earthly Branches (Jiji), the foundational layer of her Saju, lay Bigeop (比劫). Bigeop represents "energy identical to oneself." It brings a spirit of competition, but it also amplifies one's own ego.

When a good partner approaches, if your own ego becomes too rigid, you might inadvertently push them away. Since this relationship comes through Jeonggwan, a gentle and well-suited person will appear. Yet, if you do not cultivate gentleness within yourself first, that relationship cannot stay.

*"Be flexible when dealing with the strong; be gentle when dealing with the weak."*

Being strong does not mean you will win. Because you possess great strength, you must learn the art of being soft.

The Mother's Saju — Imsul (壬戌) Day Pillar

The mother's Day Pillar was Imsul, and she was curious about her business prospects.

When the Imsul Day Pillar meets Baekhosal (the White Tiger energy), it manifests as a powerful drive and an intense desire for achievement. Baekhosal is an energetic marker symbolizing fierce, uninhibited energy—the raw power of a tiger. It holds the magnetism to attract wealth and resources, giving her exceptional confidence and action-taking ability. She is the type to launch various projects and stay dynamically active.

Looking at her business luck, she was right at the starting line. The current alignment showed her own mother (the grandmother) acting as a strong anchor in the background—a flow so supportive that simply holding her ground would guarantee a decent outcome.

However, I offered her one piece of advice.

The fierce energy of the White Tiger can alienate people if it is not balanced with patience and consideration. She needs the wisdom to manage subordinates and a heart wide enough to embrace others.

Business is not merely about selling goods; it is a reflection of one's own inner cultivation. Whether dealing with an employee, a client, or a customer—they will only follow if you have built that inner capacity first. From that readiness, generosity and virtue naturally flow, allowing the business to take deep root.

The stronger the tiger's energy, the more inner strength and maturity you need to master it for the long run.

A Final Word to the Three Generations

As we concluded the consultation, I shared this thought with them:

A massive rock standing tall on a high peak does not hold its place alone. It stands there because the gravel, the soil, and the dust beneath are supporting it from below. No matter how outstanding we may be, that greatness is never created in isolation.

Both the daughter of the Imja pillar and the mother of the Imsul pillar were born with formidable energy. But for that strength to truly shine, they must cultivate the wisdom to look around them—learning to be flexible toward the strong, and deeply gentle toward the weak.

Saju is Not Destiny, But a Flow

When I read Saju, I never say, *"This is exactly how your life will turn out."*

Instead, I say, *"This is your current flow. If you navigate it this way, your life will flow much more smoothly."*

Being born with a powerful Day Pillar—whether Imja or Imsul—means carrying an equally great responsibility.

Your life transforms entirely depending on how you choose to channel that energy.
